2. Sugar Land Heritage Foundation

Sitting in the heart of the city, the Sugar Land Heritage Foundation was set up in 2003 when the Imperial Sugar Company decided to close the refinery which had been in operation since the 1800s. 5. Sugar Land Memorial Park

The sun reflecting through the 40ft ‘Tower of Remembrance’ that stands over the lake in Veterans Memorial Park makes it the top spot for adventurous things to do in Sugar Land. Just $20 per hour will have you making a splash out on the lake in a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard.

6. Farmer’s Market at Imperial

7. Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center

Sign your children up for an educational experience at the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center. Designed for children up to age 12, these interactive exhibits are investigative programs created to help kids develop their learning interests.

Look back through the history of Sugar Land at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church with photos dating back to the first Catholic congregation in 1915. A little downstream from the Sugar Land Memorial Park is the Brazos River Park. Named after the river that has served as a blessing and curse to the city of Sugar Land since the sugar plantation sat in this spot in the 1800s. The Sugar Land Constellation Field, built in 2012 is home to the former Sugar Land Skeeters baseball team. Now the Sugar Land Space Cowboys, you can stock up on new merchandise before sitting down to watch a game in this versatile sports arena.
